| Becca started off last month's meeting with a spiritual image of a hummingbird. She slowly down the shutter speed making the hummingbird to have an angelical appearance. She also showed baby robin's from the nest, and fun flower shots from her back yard. | ![]() |
| Bruce Harris continued the show with some outstanding shots from Alaska. This is a state I have never visited that is definitely on my must do list. Even though the weather did not look like it always cooperated with them, he had a lot of very interesting photographs. We followed his journey on a small vessel through Alaskan Sounds and Straight passages. They were able to find Whales, sea lions and some incredible icebergs. It sent chills down my spine to imagine paddling up next to these incredible blue ice formations. Being a fellow paddler, this looks like something I would really enjoy. I am glad Bruce was able to capture some of these wonders. His images appeared to be black and white except for the incredible vibrant colors of blue from the ice formations. Nice job Bruce this looked like an amazing trip. I always say there is no bad weather just bad gear. | ![]() |
| Dan started off his show with some close up flower and bug shots. He let us look right into the eyes of the yellow jackets that have been so pestky this summer. (I have heard if the summer has a lot of yellow jackets, this will bring a great snow year. This was the case last year. One can only hope for a repeat.) He then traveled from his back yard to Glacier. Showing some incredible shots of the triple falls from the top of the pass. My favorite shots were his panoramic images from Iceberg lake. The only time I hiked to Iceberg there was not a single Iceberg on the lake. So I enjoyed seeing that they really do exist there. | ![]() |
| Doug continued the show with a few images that he had merged together. Landscape photography is always challenging to capture every piece of the image in focus. Doug showed us some software that will take 6 images and produce one great sharp in focus landscape shot. It looks like an interesting tool to acquire.

| Jerry and Rhona followed the show with some outstanding images from their deck. Showing hummingbirds, Grouse, the moon and they baby foxes that live in their yard. It was hard to pick a favorite image between the close up moon shot or the baby foxes. I am a sucker for animals, I am glad we got to look into their den. We also saw some nice images from the park and their hike into Granite chalet. | ![]() |
| Joe also traveled to Alaska, man I still want to go there. Thanks for showing us a little more of Alaska. It looks like a special place. He showed us great pictures of herons, snow geese in flight and owls. Finishing off his show with a few landscape shots and some wildlife shots of a cinnamon bear and caribou. He showed us the smiling happy bear. | ![]() |
| Larry presented some fun shots from the park and a few glacier shots, too. He started his show with a winking owl, he also had some nice wildlife shots of a family of goats, and a big horn sheep. We also saw a unique look into Avalanche Gorge. Captivating the water that follows through that narrow passage. | ![]() |
| Lyle gave us a look into the Whitefish Theater. Showing great expressions of the actors and actress that perform. His images were from a dress rehearsal at the O'Shaughnessy Center. Despite not being able to use flash photography, he does a great job at capturing the feelings from the show. Lyle definitely specializes in capturing the essence of people on film. I really enjoyed his shots at The 344 Gallery from India too as well as his pics from the theater. | ![]() |
| Rex and Ginna showed a few sailboat racing pics from Ed's boat. They also showed images from Two Medicine, capturing Trick Falls/Running Eagle and a few very nice scenics. They also showed the club some great images of two moose playing/fighting. They ended their show with a few shots of LA, focusing on a panoramic of a row of umbrellas. Something we do not see too often in Montana. | ![]() |
| Tim finished off the show with some great shots from the park. He focused on jammer buses, Avalanche Gorge, nice shots of reflections on Lake McDonald. He also showed a few wildlife shots from the park, a great night time shot of Waterton and a very colorful shot from the Apgar lookout trail. He also had some nice shots with models doing yoga, a self portrait in front of St. Mary, a few racing shots and some colorful shots from Ireland. | ![]() |
| Jeff and I showed some images from a canoe trip down McDonald Creek, a few too many moonrise/sailboat shots (Jeff says), a few sunrise shots from a night camping on Kintla lake, and a few images of some of our aerial work from a home on Whitefish Lake.
