Minutes from November
Myrna, who has long been one of my favorites, and one of the best photographers in our club, had a fine program for us. Myrna, thanks for helping make our club fun.
There were lots of trips to the Bison Range. It seems to me that our club has changed from predominantly Landscape photography to doing more close-up and wildlife work. For me it has been a bit of a challenge to get a good Buffalo shot. They go pure black when I shoot them. Nobody else seems to have that problem. That’s why I’m still a landscape guy and you people do the hard stuff.
Dan Taylor made a wonderful trip to Alaska where he and his family caught some really nice fish. I've said it before and I'll say it again, It's almost better when some one else does the traveling for you. All we have to do is sit back and enjoy the pretty pictures. Thanks Dan.
Bruce and Adele/Jeff still have their own niche as photographers that none of us can equal. They sure do it well. Bruce is the only person in our club who can tickle the man in the Moon with a big lens. I’m still in awe of Adele/Jeff And the work they do. Their kind of photography is a lot harder to do than any of us know. Richard Firestone gets the travel award. His trip to Churchill was really productive. Amazing polar Bear pictures. My friend Gary who doesn’t bring us nearly enough of his work also did some wonderful wildlife shots from the Bison Range.
What do we do in September and October? If we were smart we would follow Larry Stolte around and see where he gets his super fall colors.
Rex and Gina, whose high standards were never higher, did some great work in the Park. Jane did some incredible cloud pictures in the park and if I remember Rosella did some self-portraits. Now that’s a trick. John S. and Steve shot the Bull and some really neat landscapes.
Great work everyone.

December is our gift exchange.
For the new members, December is our gift exchange meeting. We all bring at least one gift, which can be anything from the latest Cannon Digital to something out of your junk drawer. We put numbers in a hat and then draw from the hat until all the numbers are gone. Then you get to pick your gift in the order of the number you draw. One first two second etc. DO NOT WRAP THE GIFTS. The gifts are usually camera related items but do not have to be. Your newsletter editor prefers Robert Mondovi reserve Cab. 1994.
News from Bruce
The winter weather is here and causing lower humidity. The lower humidity can cause a static discharge.
This occurs as you walk across a rug then touch a metal object. One can feel the discharge. This discharge also can damage the flash card
To protect the card, discharge yourself before you handle your equipment.

The 344 Gallery
John Kyle has some wonderful panoramic photography hanging at the Gallery. Please stop in soon for a look.
The Gallery schedule:
Please get in touch with me if you want a show at the gallery. Everybody in our club has nice photography to show and this is a fun way to show the world. March, April, and May are the next available months. We like to hang the shows for three month. If March is too soon then you tell me what months you want and I can change the schedule. Depending on the size of prints you have, you need between ten to twenty mounted, not frame prints. They can be framed if you want, but it’s not mandatory.
