Big News
From Trina Starker at Buffalo Hills Terrace
Hi Ed! We just had our Chuck Haney show yesterday. Wow were those some great pictures!
I was also wondering if it would be possible for me to put a short thank you in your next newsletter as we have now been doing this a full year and so many of your members have donated their time and energy. I would like to let them all know how appreciated they are. Please let me know if this would be o.k.
Thank you

Wildlife Photos
For those among us who like to photograph birds, the Freeze out spectacle is coming up soon. It usually happens in March. For information you can call: the Montana Dept of Fish, Wildlife and Parks at 406-467-2646
Great Show
Jeff, Adele and the Great Northern Brewery are sponsoring a slide show: Travel to New Zealand, at 7PM March 30th at 2 Central Avenue in Whitefish. The show will feature the photography of Jeff and Adele taken on their last trip to New Zealand.
This show is wonderful and we can all enjoy a nice evening out while supporting a couple of our clubs best photographers and the Humane Society.
The show will be followed by a reception and this will no doubt be the social event of the season so mark your calendars now.
Admission is by donation to the Humane Society.
For those of us who still have real slides they are once again being shuttled to the back of the bus. Joel will do his program, which will be followed by digital images then real slides after.
PROGRAM
Joel Templeton will give us a program on printing Black & White prints with an especially adapted printer.
Our Computer fund has $765.00
Six people donated $100.00 each and eight more rounded out the tally to meet our goal. For this all of us are very grateful. We have had several in kind donations as well. We bought Adele’s computer for $550.00. The selection committee was extremely pleased and we thank Adele for the price break.
Those who have contributed so far are:
Rossella Mosteller
Bruce Harris
Steve & Becca Rapelje
John Stalowy
Jane Timmerman
Ed Gilliland
Rex Short
Michael & Ann Pinon
Doug Dye
Ray Moore
Danni Dobyns
John Martineau
Dee Blank
Adele & Jeff Scholl
In kind donations from: Gary Harding and Jesse Malone
It looks like we are over the top for the computer and storage for it. It will be a couple hundred for a cabinet and a bit more for stuff like surge protectors, speakers and various other items needed to make it work. I don’t want to carry a balance so we will cut off our plea for donations until I know if we have gone over budget.
Minutes from February by Adele Scholl
Bruce started the show off with some nice aerial images of Flathead Lake. Showing us Somers Bay and over into Fish Hatchery Bay from a full scale airplane. A shot of Kerr Dam showed that sometimes putting in a little extra effort walking has a great outcome. The image portrayed the best of both worlds, getting close to the Dam and having Bruce walk down there for us. Thanks Bruce I could almost hear the noise of the water rushing out.
Jeff & I had some aerials from a frozen Whitefish Lake, Winter Carnival, Ski Jouring, and a few ground shots of Big Mountain Fireworks. Also we showed a shot from Stillwater Mountain Lodge, a new country ski area and lodge near Beaver Lake. Finishing the shots of our area, with a nice aerial inversion shots from the Big Mountain. The end of our show included some images from the South Island of New Zealand.
Jamie Davis, our newest member to camera club brought some nice infrared and black and white images to show. As well as a few simple yet powerful images of a set of crayons and bicycle leaning against the wall.
Joe Beck finished off the show with a big bang. I really enjoyed his bird shots. He traveled down to Arizona to capture my favorite image of the night the birds silhouetted in the flying V formation with two birds changing position. Incredible shot Joe !!
Camera Club Web Site
We are still asking for more members to contribute to the Club Web site. It is fun and inexpensive. We have 13 members who have contributed and it is looking good.
Ask Adele for details. adele@digisys.net
Buffalo Hills Terrace
We still need more volunteers for the Monthly Buffalo Terrace Photo show. Please help; this is the only contact with the outside for many of these people and they really do appreciate our efforts. It’s fun and easy so please contact me for more details.
