GLACIER CAMERA CLUB

Next Meeting

Our next meeting will be at the Pin & Cue Bowling Alley in Whitefish, MT. at 6:30PM Thursday, February 11th, 2010.

Minutes from January by Adele Scholl.

Jeff and I were unable to attend last month's camera club. So I am writing the review from the images that Jesse Malone, e-mailed me.

Becca started off the show with some nice images of antelope, hockey playing, baby mountain goats and my favorite shots icey waters in Glacier Park. Looks like Becca made it up to the top of the pass while it was still open and the tempatures were freezing. I have never been to the double waterfalls seen at the top of Logan pass. I have seen a lot of pictures of this location, and I must say I was very impressed by the shots Becca captured. My favorite image is seen to the right. Nice job Becca.

Betty Jo continued the show with some snow shots. I only have this one image for Betty Jo of the snowy trees of Kalispell.

Bruce brought in some photos of his friendly Osprey. We have a pair of eagles that frequent our neighborhood and are always excited to see them fly by. Having their nest in our backyard would be the icing on the cake.

Cindy showed the club some abstract images, of flowers, a neat shot of color pencils, stacked and taken looking down, and some shots of a classic Oldsmobile. I really like this photo seen the right cropped in tight of the front of the car. The way the light hits the hood and the composition all come together. Very nice.

Jane showed some very nice shots as well of the park and Yellowstone. My favorite shot of hers is from McDonald Creek, the colors of the water and rocks are impressive. The cloud formation in this image ties it all together.

Jemina showed the club some great shots from her travels. I am guessing South America and Brasil. She showed some images of unique Volkswagon buses, and my favorite image as seen to the right a night time shot.

Judy brought in images of antique cars and tractors, images from the park and some images from the desert. She presented images that show interesting patterns on the old vehicles. She also had some fun wild life shots. My favorite image of hers is from the desert, with lush trees in the forground.

I only have a few images that Kevin showed the club. Both are very interesting, my favorite is of a lighted ice cave. I am wondering the location of this magical place. Thanks to everyone for bringing in their photographs to share with the club.
