GLACIER CAMERA CLUB

Next Meeting

Our next meeting will be at the Pin & Cue Bowling Alley in Whitefish, MT. at 6:30PM Thursday, April 9th.

Minutes from March

Our March meeting was fun and interesting with lots of really pretty pictures flying through the air.

Some of the prettiest were Lyle Olson's. His people pictures are the best I've seen. The shots that Lyle, Dani and Dave Filler have brought to our meetings make you believe that you can sit down and talk with the people in them. Also like Dani's and Dave's, with Lyle's you can feel the cities and smell the streets, Great work Lyle.

After spending several minutes in India it was nice to see the Moon again. Bruce Ruby brought some Moon shots like only Bruce can. He took us from smelling India to walking in green Cheese. Our thanks to Bruce and his Zillion $$$$ telescope.

Jesse, Betty Jo and D Blank got us a lot closer to home with some fabulous pictures of the Swan and big Grizz in Yellowstone.

This month we traveled to India, Flathead Lake, the moon, Yellowstone, the Swan and my favorite this month was Newfoundland. John really captured the outstanding beauty and serenity of Canada's East Coast. He got absolutely gorgeous pictures of a fabulous place. Best of all, when I finally get to go I can leave my camera at home. I could never top John's great photos. Thanks John and Dani for the super trip.

It was nice to see another of our best photo guys doing some nice work down my way. Steve really got some fine photos of Flathead Lake. Flathead is the biggest and the hardest lake I know to photograph. Steve made it look easy. Nice job Steve.

Our Photographers are the best

Hi Everyone,

We have some exciting news that we'd like to share. We have recently formed an alliance with the Triple-D Game Farm, here in Kalispell, MT, and I will be serving as Photographer In Residence. In the near future, we will be announcing some fantastic Wildlife Photography Workshops to be held in conjunction with Triple-D. I've attached a short slide show to give you a brief preview of some of the wildlife you can expect to photograph and the Montana wilderness which forms the backdrop. While photo sessions, like the one in the slide show, are done out in the wild up close and personal with the animals, the great folks at Triple-D take the utmost precautions to provide for your safety as well as that of the animals. Keep checking out our website and you inbox for further updates and information.

To get the ball rolling, we're offering a $100 gift certificate for anyone that signs up for any one of Triple-D's Monthly Special Photo Sessions for 2009. These special sessions are offered at great discount prices from regular workshops, and once you've participated, I'm sure you'll definitely want to return for more. If you decide to take advantage and sign up for a Monthly Special Photo Sessions, just mention that Rick sent you and receive a $100 gift certificate that may be redeemed in conjunction with any one of my future workshops. To learn more go to www.tripledgamefarm.com and click on "Events Schedule".

Hope you enjoy the images and please feel free to share this with everyone on your email list and don't hesitate to contact me should you have any questions or comments.

The Desktop Darkroom
Photographer Craftsman Trevon Baker will explore the digital revolution and how it has changed the professional photography industry. Trevon will also demonstrate his techniques for "processing" his pictures

Adele & Jeff are excited to be able to attend next month's camera club, it has been too long. We just returned from The Grand Canyon and had a fabulous trip this year. March is definitely the time to go to the desert. Before our trip down the Grand, Jeff traveled to Guadeloupe Island, Dubai, and Grand Cayman Island. We hope to have a nice mix of pics to show the club this month. PROGRAMS
