GLACIER CAMERA CLUB

Next Meeting

Our next meeting will be at the Pin & Cue Bowling Alley in Whitefish, MT. at 6:30PM Thursday, August 11th, 2011.

Minutes from August by Adele Scholl. Thank you to Jennifer DeMonte from Youth Image Project for presenting to our club last month. Please excuse my short reviews of the photos, I was not at last meeting.

August will be a meeting you will not want to miss. Chuck Haney will start off our meeting with a presentation of his work.

Betty Jo started off last month's meeting with some very nice images. She presented images from Eureka's Rendezvous Days. Which includes an old time parade, Muzzle Loaders Shoot off, and a lot of fun. My favorite shot is this one of a man melting metals.
Bruce continued the show with some nice lake shots, very interesting old buildings, critters and more. My favorite shot was of the sunset behind this bridge. Very interesting.
Bruce #2 showed the club some really nice panoramics. Everything from Iceberg lake in the park, to panoramics from Lone pine that show pre bypass and post. I still not taken the bypass yet. I think once it is completely it will be a nice way to get around downtown Kalispell. My favorite shot of his was his panoramic from the bison range. It shows all the babies and their mothers.
D showed the club some of her amazing flower shots. Looks like she went to the East side of the state during high water. My favorite shots seen to the right. Amazing alpinglow on a waterfall and a fun collection of flowers.
Derek Houseworth showed the club some nice shots of airplanes from a museum. He had shots of the planes in the hangers and some in flight. My favorite shot was this one of one of the antique planes in flight
Faith continued with some interesting shots, a few scenic shots, and a shot of Bob using his metal detector, finishing up with some pictures of some pretty large hail. Pretty crazy the size of it.
James showed the club some images from his travels. I really enjoyed the colors in his beach shot.
Jesse showed the club some fun shots of their resident squirrel. Looks like the squirrel wanted to go be a part of their trap that was set for a skunk. I would have liked to hear the stories that go with this picture. Hopefully this month you can tell me about it.
Myrna had some flower shots, and critter shots. Looks like the baby owls finally left the nest. She had a nice series where the baby finally looked her right in the eye.
Looks like Steve took a trip to Yellowstone, Grand Canyon and more. Wow is all I can say. Bears, wolfs, snails, birds and much more. Nice way to close out the meeting.
