Lacy
Marion Lacy won many awards for his portraits and his art of capturing scenic beauty as well as for skillful industrial photography. He won the highest honor to be earned in the photographic profession - the Master of Photography degree - presented by the Professional Photographers of America Inc. This recognition is only bestowed on the top 5 percent of the photographers in the nation.
Marion Lacy was born August 3rd, 1909. He returned to Montana and married Etta Boulden in 1933 in Polson. In 1944 the couple moved to Whitefish where Mr. Lacy established the Lacy Photo Studio.
He served on the board of directors of Big Mountain and was helpful to the youth of Whitefish. He was also a member of the Whitefish Boat Club and was on the board of directors of Glacier National History Association.
