Before employing T.J. Hileman, the Great Northern Railway hired photographer Roy "Ted" Marble to take scenic pictures of Glacier National Park for its railroad brochures. After being replaced by Hileman, Marble attempted to open his own studio in Whitefish, MT. He did not return to photograph Glacier again until 1932. Six years after his return, he died of a heart attack.
